THanksIf they are allowed to play up to their abilities then this team will make the tournament and go far. Those two along with Alice and BG should be the foundation for the next 2-3 years. With the new additions and with the kid from West Mesquite joining them next year they are going to be very athletic. JB I believe is going to have a stellar year and with her leading them at the point this will be a very different team this year. I believe they will upset Texas A&M and will put SMU women's program on the map this year. I will tell you this that this SMU team will not be intimidated playing against anybody in the country.

You're right about the sophomores. Wills made the all-freshman team for C-USA last year, and word out of Moody is that Gilliam and Samuels improved since last season more than anyone on the team. Keep in mind, while we're expecting some great things from this team this year, it's a very strong senior class that will graduate in the spring, so Wills, Samuels, Gilliam, Severin and the rest of the youngsters are going to have to continue to grow into leadership roles. The newcomers are supposed to be very talented. There's talk that an already-good recruiting class for next year might be getting better soon (how many can they offer?) This could be a really big year for the women's team.
"What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"

You are right.....JD will be a huge loss and she really doesn't get her just due. She is a huge player for SMU and all she has done is have a great college career. She could have went anywhere she wanted and I really hope for her that this year is a year for her to remember. I really love her game and she is one of the smartest low post defenders in the country. JD is the real deal and I believe she will play at the next level. I am really excited about this season and I hope they play up to their potential.
