I heard this from a solid source and was shocked, because as everyone knows I wanted Bowden. Let's just say I'm disappointed but this booster called the Bennett thing way in advance, so here it is................... LSU's Jimbo Fischer. The end of SMU football has offically begun.

Nice try. Jimbo Fisher is at FSU and conventional wisdom is that he is the heir apparent to Bobby Bowden. He won't be roaming the sidelines at Ford anytime soon.

Bush library, burgers & cheer, Scarlett Johanson, etc.

and if, and I say if, we were going to hire an coordinator, a guy who was at LSU and only left because FSU offered him more money and the promise to be the next HC at FSU......would not be a bad hire at SMU. That would be a splash

and we passed on Jimbo Fisher for Bennett....that would have been a great call, hey Jimbo, since we passed on you for Bennett, you have been the OC on a national title team and are now the heir apparent to Bobby Bowden at FSU, and could get many BCS jobs.....are you still interested in us?

I'm more dissappointed then anyone, trust me. I wanted Bowden bad. Apparently, Fischer and Orsini go way back and Fischer gave FSU an ultimatum that FSU balked at.

and when Les Miles goes to Michigan and Bo Pelini goes to Nebraska, Jimbo will be at the top of the list for the LSU job. they LOVE Jimbo in Baton Rouge.

i heard from my brothers, friend's cousin at ucla who's dating this girl at Cal, who knows the athletic director at USC who's daughter dates one of the players who knows Pete Carrol really well says he's interested in the SMU gig
