Were you not listening to his post game interview? The job is already lost and he knows it.

...he wrote that during the game. So no he hadn't listened to the post-game interview because it hadn't happened yet, genius.

HAHA, thanks perunapower!

Well then have you picked up a newspaper in the last 6 weeks, its been a done deal for quite some time. It was done about 5 minutes after email-gate gave them a chance of getting out of that contract cheaper.

I don't know.......if they go to a bowl and kick someone's ace to finish 8-5 with 2 straight wins against ut, there are going to be some alums saying "hold your horses".......especially with the team so solidly behind him........

Don't try and save your @$$ now with some lame attempt at justifying your ignorant comments.

With the buyout money and what we will pay him, he can afford a nice starter home in HP for the 3 years he'll be here.........

He aint coming to the hilltop to ruin his career. We better look at a JUCO HC with a winning record in Texas. That is our best bet. We have screwed this thing up long enough.

I agree that it is pathetic, but it is mostly because I despise a$m. Sadly, they are not the only ones. The announcers were wrong:

Texas Fight, Texas Fight,
And it's goodbye to A&M.
Texas Fight, Texas Fight,
And we'll put over one more win.
Texas Fight, Texas Fight,
For it's Texas that we love best.
Hail, Hail, The gang's all here,
And it's good-bye to all the rest!
Yea Orange! Yea White!
Yea Longhorns! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Texas Fight! Texas Fight,
Yea Texas Fight!
Texas Fight! Texas Fight,
Yea Texas Fight!
The Eyes of Texas are upon you,
All the livelong day.
The Eyes of Texas are upon you,
You cannot get away.
Texas Fight, Texas Fight,
For it's Texas that we love best.
Hail, Hail, The gang's all here,
And it's good-bye to all the rest!

Add in the "Give 'em hell! Give 'em hell! OU sucks!" and Texas mentions two rivals in one fight song. But it's a great fight song. :o

Franchione will be 57 before next season. Sign a 5 year deal for 1.3 -1.5m with incentives, sign a 2-3 year extension when we are in ecstasy over a 8 game winning season and a bowl in the easy Conf USA, and he is retirement bound.

There are a few schools with fight songs like this...Georgetown mentions six different rivals.

Gtown doesn't have fans, and it doesn't have rivals.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

I know that one U of Washington's fight song used to mention Cal.

Also, there is an unofficial lyric in "Bow Down to Washington" which calls for a cheer of "F*** Wazzou" that gets sung at every game, and most loudly at the Apple Cup.
It's a crappy job but someone's gotta do it.
