Let's go get June. He can go 12-0 at Hawaii and never a national title. Bring in June?

Not sure it would never happen - hawaii is nice to visit but tough to live. Plus I am guessing we would represent a pretty good raise.

A guy like June Jones isnt neccessarily all about money...im sure hed love a pay raise but hes turned down the NFL over the past 5 years...
remember he was the genius behind the Bills when they made their 4 year run

Hell, if he brings some of his assistants we will have the Samoan pipeline straight into SMU. These are usually big boys. There is one problem. We would have to hire some [deleted] off Harry Hines to do the dread locks.

June Jones has gone on record before, saying he would never consider the SMU job, citing the uneven playing field. I think it was about 4-5 yrs ago, but I still remember him saying it before he kicked our @ss.

On the broadcast last night, they said his contract was up this year. Announcers also quoted him as saying, while he would like to remain at Hawaii, (as to moving somewhere else) never say never.
Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein.

Actually, he was not on the Bills coaching staff at that time. During that time he was with the Falcons(as a head coach...he replaced Glanville). Plus Buffalo ran the "K-Gun" offense, which utilized a TE and he ran the Run and Shoot in Atlanta, which did not.

but his star athlete pickups are kids that were recruited by other programs but were kicked off their teams because they raped/got arrested/were sent to jail/etc. Not exactly a solid Turner hire...

[deleted]. You are talking about one player, Colt Brennen. Myron Newberry (one of the corners) went to Denton Ryan and played with JWill. He spent two years at Trinity Valley. He is a damn good kid, as well as most of the players on the team. Turner is crap when it comes to athletics!

In Ford, the south end zone is 2 feet lower than the north end zone.

bigdaddy08091,
I was talking specifically about Colt and D. Bess...it's actually been pretty common over the years for Hawaii to get troubled players from other schools...and I'm not knocking it because obviously it gets winning done (see past Fresno St teams)...just saying that June's system wouldn't appeal to Turner's nose.
