I'll give Orsini the benefit of the doubt until he makes the announcement. That said, I expect no less than a national coach of the year candidate with no blemishes on his record. After all, Gary Barnett (a national coach of the year winner) expressed interest as soon as the opening was announced and we are wasting valuable time in recruiting.

It should be crystal clear to you that things are not on track. Nutt - a guy who SMU offered - is now secured and comfortably making $1.7 M at Ole Miss. Tell me - is Orsini aiming higher than Nutt? Not if he's being realistic. Well - Ole Miss took Nutt after firing their coach 4 weeks after our coach was fired. What does that tell you about who we might land and where Orsini is at "in the process"? :roll:

Not crystal clear...just enough to keep me nervous.
But I am considering changing my signature line on my posts from Doc Breeden's benediction to "Sometimes nothin' is a pretty cool hand."
