You mean the guy that the Dallas Cowboys interviewed for their head coach position last year? No not him. Gary Gibbs is a better hire than Pudge Johnson.

Gary Gibbs name has not been mentioned for ONE college head coaching opening in at least 5 years. Not one interview, ZERO interest in him as a head coach. Paul Johnson's name has been mentioned for almost every head coach job the past 2 years. So, either you know more than the ADs and search firms, or you are wrong.

And give me a break with that reach around interview with the Cowboys last year. Homeboys was never a serious candidate.

The fact that you are so off base about Johnson, make this hire delicious, if it happens.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

He should be a serious candidate for this post. He is doing just fine in New Orleans under Payton.

Hey, so Rice went 7-4 two years in a row in 96 and 97 and then 8-4 in 2001 and still didn't go to a bowl game?

I know there are a lot more bowls now than 10 years ago, but I didn't realize it was that tough back then.

That's when the evil Boal Coalition / BCS had locks on so many bowls...like when Northern Illinois was 10-1 and missed a bowl.

Oh, but trust fund baby, when I have been wrong, I've at least had the grace to admit it. You, not so much!

And if that's the best you have in this, then you're not doing very well.

BTW, when you look at Hatfield's record at Rice -- he pulled off three winning seasons there -- how many have we had since 1989? But don't worry about that.

All you do is just further your disconnect with the university because whoever you crossed swords with made sure you were termed a pariah. But keep on preaching the gospel.

And I'm still waiting for that list on the predictions thing. I asked you for that two weeks ago. Since you have time on your hands, go through all the threads, document it and make sure you post. Call it a project.

Patton,

He will not respond whenever he's called out b/c he is, in essence, a cyber [deleted]. It empowers some people to act the way they do on the net because they would never have the balls to do so in the real world. Its not all that uncommon among those who have much larger inadequacies in their lives they'd rather not acknowledge.
