Look at Ohio State's schedule and tell me if they deserve to be in the BCS championship game. Nonconference games are YSU, Akron and Kent State. Not sold on them.

OSU couldn't handle Illinois in Columbus. As I recall, Missou beat Illinois and I think it was at Illinois?

We could play this game and get SMU pretty close to being worthy of a bowl game...no wait, UNT lost to FIU. That's a pretty special accomplishment...UNT provided 2 different schools their only win this season.

Yea its a real sham OSU is back in it. They played nobody except for maybe Illinois this year. But I guess better them than WVU and Mizzou.

they beat Wisconsin and Michigan. Those aren't nobodies. To suggest OSU isn't a strong team and arguably deserving of the championship game is foolish. This year, there are 7-8 teams who can make a good argument that they deserve a shot

This would have been a great year for an 8 team playoff...but we'd be arguing about who gets the wild-card entry...Georgia? Kansas? Missou?

100% Agree. That would be a great game! But for some odd reason, that won't happen and the BCS Championship game will be a bust.

I vote LSU-OU.

LSU won the SEC. OU won the big 12 and destroyed the #1 team at a neutral site.

It's not going to happen but it would be the most fair.

Welcome to the BSC cartel. Hawaii has to earn a BSC bowl berth (12-0 and high ranking) while a BSC school just has to be first or second in their conference to get an automatic berth. A few years back, Pitt was the Big East winner at 7-4 and unranked. And they went to a BSC bowl. Remember all those years ND went to a BSC bowl with pathetic teams? The Cartel isn't interested in a National Champ but interested in making mo money, mo money, mo money.

Does OSU deserve a spot? Based on the current cartel system yes. And one could argue that any of the other potential #2 desire it. The BSC is no better than the previous system. The only difference is that the cartel now controls the money.

every conference needs to have a championship game and they need to have all the independents join a conference so there's none of the ND crap.

Every major conference winner should get an automatic bid so conference play stays important.

Then they could figure out some way to get a team or two from a mid-major conference a shot. (Have a couple play-in games between C-USA, MWC, WAC, etc. maybe?)

what do you guys think about that?

Actually that game was played in St. Louis (neutral field).
