How soon he forgets, it wasn't the $ in his eyes, it was the $ in his pocket that was the problem...

Do not believe there was ever any allegation that Craig was on the payroll. Correct me if I am wrong.

I can't verify that James was NOT on the payroll, but I do know that he was in no way compensated to visit or come to SMU in the recruiting process. His high school girlfriend (his wife) was a year ahead of him and already attending SMU and he fit into the SMU social scene very well. Those two things made him a "clean" recruit. Once he got to campus the waters may have been muddied by some boosters (I have no problem with generous boosters). I do know he was paired up with a well known booster in kind of an informal mentoring program.

McFadden had two sub 100 yard games. One against Auburn and the other against Middle Tennessee State. McFadden has had some great performances but he has had some crummy performances against one not so stellar opponent. Tebow seems to have been a constant performer.
Of course I don't get a vote so what does it matter.
