PS. AS LONG AS HE IS COACH.

What about if we are winning CUSA every year and going to bowl games? Would you really stay away just because of Fran?

In Fran's first couple of years he had a DC that didn't work out. Darnell is now the DC and has done a good job (he will coach the Alamo Bowl game). I assume Fran would bring him with him. Fran ran a passing attack his first couple of years and then went to the option. I see him going to a more balanced attack here ( a la Fla) using the option mixed with the pass as in the UT game.

I don't like him, but he built UNM up and had some (gag, puke, wretch) success at Frog High. SMU is bigger and more important than any coach, and if he makes us winners ... I won't like him any more, but I'll cheer for the team.

What's the deal with this guy? Does he have any credibility with potential recruits and hs coaches? Do they look at him as a slime ball after his shenanegins with the emails at A$M and the crap he pulled at Alabama?

I'm not opposed to bringing him on board but doesn't he have credibility issues?

sure he does. why do you think aTm let him go. He now has a terrible reputation and I'd be honestly surprised if he gets another gig anytime soon.

and I'll go on record again, SMU would be making a terrible mistake to sign this guy.

I'm fully on board with mrydel and his quest to wish all you "fans" that will never watch SMU play another game under Coach X to HIT THE DOOR. Each of you is the definition of a LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling this is one of the first things Stallion has posted in a while that most will agree with wholeheartedly.

Let's see -who has had more success at TCU? Fran or GP? Fran has never been the same since he lost GP. How many years did he have at A&M to get the offense going? He seems clueless and pig headed -do we need that here? Can we trust he would be more flexible? A&M beat UT because for some unearthly reason they opened up their offense for one game and it was probably the players who were the reason for that to some extent. The guy is a relic of the past when it comes to inovation-let's move forward not back.

I have said "I'm done" a few times, and sooner or later I am sucked back in. It is a disease with which many of us are stricken.
