be BOLD and hire a successful proven coach. Don't hire someone who has been fired for not winning Championships. This hire is huge and you have a chance to make a quality hire and turn SMU's program around....This commitee has made some mistakes in who is interrested in this job, but you don't have to make a another by not hiring the most qualified coach availiable now.

Several doesn't imply most qualified. most qualified means the one guy who is the most (meaning more than anyone else).

The search commitee will be rubber stamping Orsini's & Turner's man. As of last Thursday the search commitee had only met one time, several weeks ago. This is Orsini's dance and they're just going to be serveing up the punch.

NO...its all TURNERs decision/dance on who the coach actually is...search commitee is all crap. just a way to get a hold of coaches.

I think many are confusing the Search Committee with the Search Firm. The Search Firm is the hired company that is being contacted and making contacts. The Search Committee is the group of SMU folks that will OK the hire (most likely a rubber stamp at a last minute called meeting).
