Personally, if SMU hired Fedora, I would be excited. Moreso than some of the other names thrown out here. The guy has had an offense that has been creative and dominating at times and is a proven recruiter. He is young and he has the all-important "Texas ties." We would have snapped him away from a conference rival.
I know some people say we have proven that a coordinator cannot succeed at SMU. I disagree. We have proven that Phil Bennett cannot succeed at SMU.

It's hard to say this without sounding rude (not my intent), but: Good for you.

I won't say that I'm officially done with SMU Football if this @ss clown is hired, because I could never do that, but I will have emotionally checked out.

Wait. So if we literally swooped in and took a coach away from a conference rival, that would be of no interest?
FYI: Les Miles isn't coming to SMU, LSU fan.

To answer your question: No.
And I never expected a Les Miles to come to SMU. I expect a good hire. That is not just someone who can coach X's and O's, but someone who can excite the fan base and who brings instant awareness/credibilty to SMU from recruits to former fans to the general masses.

...maybe BRStang should support changes to the Model that would make the SMU job more attractive to Division 1A head coaches with a proven tract record before blaming Orsini.

Doubt very seriously if Mike Locksley would even give SMU the time of day...being in Maryland, I hear a little about him in Terps circles...he is definitely in line for a head coaching job, but much more likely on the east coast and probably at a BCS school...his top recruiting base is in the MD/VA/DC area, where he grew up...plus he knows all the HS coaches here, having been Recruiting Coordinator at Maryland...just my two cents.

I do, to the extent changes to the "model" need to be made. I have just asked for evidence, other than pointing to a lack of a p.e.-type major (which I support adding), that we don't allow in the same type of student-athletes as a TCU or a BYU, etc. You have still not provided that.
