I can only assume we WILL see more of Phillips. Although I admit, I thought the same thing before THIS game.

Seems we can not protect the QB when we need to. Except for Kinkaid, we have an incredibly weak offense. No blocking on passes, no completions, no nothing.

Okay, I understand he lead us to a TD drive before, but Tate makes two negative plays for every positive. He takes two sacks on the final drive, somehow getting dropped on 4th and 9. How do you get sacked on 4th down? At least throw it up for grabs!

Phillips should have played the entire game, as long as he was healthy. Not one drive the entire second half. He just has more potential to make some good things happen, even if he can't complete a pass.

I am not privey to the players and the practices, so I refuse to second guess the coach, BUT, from what I have heard in the past 2 weeks I sure would like for Phillips to play every down his is able.

OL coach was interviewed during pre-game and said that although losing Reindl and Harris will hurt, he feels much better about the OL next year with guys gaining experience and some of the new guys coming in. Specifically mentioned Boren and Peveto.

For the hundredth time. This ain't a QB problem. We had some big mistakes today but a much better effort than we have seen for quite a while. The younger guys are playing better. FSU mistakes helped a lot too but overall much better than I expected. Maybe there is a light at the end of a tunnel. Let's all hope it isn't another train.

I agree, I'd like to see Phillips play it all now, but it really sounds like the offensive line is the bigger problem. How many sacks did we give up? Phillips made a couple of things happen running for his life, but our problems obviously run deeper on O than the Wallis-Phillips situation.

Agreed that it isn't a QB problem.

HOWEVER, if you are lifting the guy's redshirt, and your other QB isn't any good, then PLAY HIM. There is NO reason not to, unless he gets banged up.

Only other reason I can think of is psychological - you don't want to make a guy the lone starter, then replace him with a JUCO next year. Same reason why I think Jonnie Fitz doesn't see much time - next year he will be third on the depth chart.

Without a doubt Knuckle. That is why I still have hope for the future. Maturing linemen and good skill position players mean we can improve if we can keep the recruiting going. Sure would be nice to get some quick plugs with Jucos. Heard some improvement today. Baby steps.
