That's why my list included current NFL assistants who might have their agents looking around since JT's list included Neuheisal. And it meets Mr. Orsini's January timeframe stated about 40 days ago.

See my edit above. Add to my definition anyone who has a job but nevertheless has expressed interest in the SMU job and been endorsed by his boss.

So if they haven't previously expressed interest in a position to a reporter, they aren't available?

You wanted a completely objective definition of "available" as Orsini has used that term and I have done my best to give you one. Can you choose a best from among those candidates or not?

Who is to say your completely objective definition of "available" is the same as Orsini's?

Nobody. You have already admitted you cannot pick a best available under Orsini's definition because you think it is too subjective. Can you pick one under mine or not?

Is head coaching experience a must under your definition of "available?"

I'll let you decide. Coaching experience was thrown in ther just so you knew that you are not "available". And as much as I admire what BrianT did wtih the Little Mustangs this year, neither is he.

OK. So "available" means a coach that may or may not be employed and may or may not have head coaching experience? But there is some level of experience required because I don't qualify and even though Brian T coaches football at the peewee level, he doesn't qualify. So, does a coach have to have college football coaching experience?

You are letting "Me" decide what "available" means. How is that a completely objective definition, then?

Phil Bennett

I hear he's available.
"He was quoting the Bible, Revelations. 'Behold the pale horse.' The man who 'sat on him was Death... and Hell followed with him.'"

You know he just closed down his charity for needy football players. Could it be that Da Coach is thinking of hitting the sidelines again?
