absolutely horrible loss, if it holds
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones

We did not score for about 7 or 8 minutes after getting up by 10 or 12. Went down by 4 came back and tied. Got the rebound after a last second shot by USC and had it stripped away and then fouled in the scramble for the ball with 1 second left.

I left when we were up by 14. Turned to 770 when I got home, expecting to hear the coach Doh postgame show. Instead, I listened to the upstate guy hit two free throws with .6 left.
Thanks Ponies.

I had to do a double take. That really stinks. Did SMU start playing conservatively? How many fans were at the game? All you can do is just wipe the slate clean on that one and be glad it's not a conference game.
According to the RPI Forecast, SMU had a 75% chance of winning and the predicted spread was 8 pts. It seems low -- since SCU is winless -- but they've played some very good teams.

Definitely a very tough home loss.
