Be happy that there is anyone left here who cares enough to criticize. Most of the masochists have moved on becuase they couldn't take it. Only a few of us left. Beat me, kick me, whip me!!! Thanks, I feel better but let's go to a game to keep me on this high.

anyone who follows my post knows I'm the 1st one to complain about SMU's lack of fan support and I firmly believe that if we had a larger following, we'd have done much better in recruiting than we have in the post death penalty era...self imposed restrictions or not. It's simply human nature to want to be appreciated for anything you put hard work into and our guys certainly have to feel under appreciated at times.

Having said that, if a recruit who liked what he saw at SMU (school, facilities, coaches & teammates) decides to rule SMU out because of negative fans (keeping in mind that only about 2% of our really hard core fans even post on these boards), then I submit to you that is not the caliber of player that will help turn this program around. What SMU needs right now is guys with guts and determination who can look at an 0-12 program and believe he and his teammates can be the ones to bring this program back to championship caliber. Fortunately, from last year's class and some of the early commits this year, it looks like there are a lot of those guys out there.
