In Depth Story on Neuheisal's Interest in College Job

Postby Stallion » Fri Dec 21, 2007 9:57 pm

other than a brief mention of earlier interest in SMU, no mention of current consideration in SMU job. You'd think he might have mention that if he was under consideration.

Comment from Article:

There isn't very much that Huskies and Ducks agree on when it comes to college sports. However, patrons of both schools will complain long and loud about the lack of ethics of Mr. Rick Neuheisel. His recruiting practices at both Colorado and Washington showed not just a disdain for following the rules, but he elevated poor attempts at circumvention of the rules to an art form.

One can change a lot during their lives. But discovering character at middle age is likely not among the changes which are apt to occur. This fellow is inherently a weasel, and that is why Dan Guererro at UCLA will not hitch his wagon to this horse.

On top of the moral shortcomings, this guy simply cannot run a program. His lot in life will be to coach bad quarterbacks, only to make them seem even worse than they truly are. His kids will go through hell, and I bet the guy never thought of that when he lied to everybody in the state of Washington about not interviewing with the 49ers.

As far as we are concerned, Neuheisel has worn out the west coast. Could you guys keep him for, say, the rest of his work life?

We'll see your birds against our birds this Sunday. Good luck

Not much to the story that we didn' know before this was posted. What was the point of the post other than to let us know he is not coming here?

Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein.

I'm not sure there's a story there to break.
