They are the only jesuit school, other than Notre Dame, in D1 football.

Not to be picky, and your point is still very valid,
but Notre Dame is not a Jesuit school.

exactly, they go to local Jesuit high schools who are known to dominate high school football throughout the country. the one where i grew up was bumped from 2A to 4A because they dominated every year, even though they only had 1200 kids in the school

Then why doesn't Georgetown University have better football?

and it seems to me the city of Boston might actually identify with Boston College and support it. Their name represents the city they play in, and even though they are a great school, are not viewed as elitist when you have Harvard and MIT in town.
