Did our academic restrictions change for good?

Postby George S. Patton » Mon Jan 07, 2008 9:12 am

If June Jones is only torn by his loyalty for Hawaii vs. a move to Dallas, then that wouls signal to me one thing.

There has either been significant changes in our academic restrictions for athletes for all of our coaches? Or were they made for only him? I think the latter is harder to believe.

Consider Jones' major criticisms of our program in 2003. And now he's at this point? That would seem that the contracts have been successfully negotiation with compensation, pay for assistants, etc.

Now, he has to weigh a better move professionally or something that fits his lifestyle.

Again, I have said I have mixed emotions about him coming here. We'll have to see.

If there have been changes made, I'm sure Robo Doh is extremely happy this morning.
I just saw where a 6'9" pf is leaving UNLV. Want's more playing time.
He's from Houston. Probably going to Coog High but it would be fun to play the transfer/JC game that every other D1 program plays.
