Our previous low years ago was aoobut 7000 for a Rice game back in the SWC. Losing attendance is more serious than losing this game.

we drew about 6,000 for Rice in the Cotton Bowl that year. The very next year, Russ Potts marketing campaign resulted in our drawing 60,000 for the Rice game (from 6 to 60 I think they called it).

One of the things that is making it so difficult to turn this thing around is that we don't have the luxury of scheduling weak teams (Like Tulsa scheduling Texas State and Ark St this year). We would do well to draw 10k for those games and would put our I-A standing at risk, so we have to get slaughtered by OSU & TTech, which sets the tone for a losing season and fan apathy.

Bennett's task is more difficult than most can imagine. This is a VERY DEEP HOLE we are trying to dig out from.
