How many Baylor and TCU recruits de commit and come to SMU?
I can assure you Patterson and Bryles are not happy campers to have a stud like JJ in their back yard.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet. JJ may not want some of those guys.
Hopefully UT and A&M will suffer more.

Don't get too excited. We haven't won a game yet.

I am going to love seeing the decommits from various lower tier Big 12 programs. I bet there are some serious feelers getting put out there.
Uhh.... How do I get in touch with SMU?

Oh come on now. a little optimism, trash talk is warranted. got the coach, got the admissions, got a coach who you have to assume demanded level playing field. JJ was not coming here to worry about a 70% vs. a 85% graduation rate was he? Take care of kids, give em the tools they need and the chance but dont sit around and worry about percentages of graduation rates. Nobody cares about the general undergrad graduation rate either.

I'm iffy on the admission changes until we actual evidence of that change. I'm not saying it hasn't happened, but until we start seeing kids here that we wouldn't have otherwise I'm not going to relax.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

after reading some of the crap on killerfrogs.com - i really hope we kill their recruiting. talk about fans living in a fantasy world. they actually think that they are a great program because they've beaten some big 12 teams.

I guarantee you that Leigh Steinburg had a list of demands that SMU agreed BEFORE he even talked money or let JJ get involved. This guy is the premier agent in sports.
The non monetary demands were:
1. Recruiting budget on par with lower tier Big 12 schools.
2. Admission waivers for 25-30 kids a year. Only requirement is that they pass the NCAA minimum.
3. Transfer rules that let students / athletes that are interested in sports oriented careers transfer in with a minimum loss of hours.
NO WAY JJ TAKES THIS JOB IF HE CAN'T BE SUCCESSFUL. HE CAN GET 2 MIL FROM LOTS OF PROGRAMS.

They are beyond arrogant on killerfrogs. They act as though they are in the big 12.
