First, thanks to blog for getting that ticket pricing sheet to us.
I talked to the ticket office yesterday. They were prompt at getting back. I'd say 20 minutes after I talked to the Mustang Club.
Anyway, they are running something that whatever you pay for your season tickets, a portion will go to the MustangClub. For instance, if you have 3 tickets at $150, about $30 will go to the club. It's a way to drive membership and build funds. It's still an ongoing situation and your seats are not in serious jeopardy. This was just a way to have this built in.
Also, this was a way for the Ticket office to help the Mustang Club. Interesting idea.
I had forgotten this, but I believe a full-time ticket office was created for the first time in school history last July so it is in the early stages and there are going to be some things that won't go well early but eventually worked out.
I'm sure I'm forgetting something or foggy on some details, but I was impressed with how quick the response was and the explanation given.

SO if I wanted to upgrade my seats for next year...can I talk to them now about it or do I need to wait till the renewal starts?

I didn't ask about that. Worth a call, but I would think it would like it has in the past that the packages and everything will go out sometime in May. It could be earlier if they sense the ticket demand is higher with the new coach.

In the past they ask that you wait until the deadline for renewal and then you can have your choice from the remaining available tickets. You must communicate with them though in order that 1) you do not lose what you currently have by not renewing, and 2) so they know approximately where you want to sit so they can have that area available for you when the time is right. The key is to communicate with them.

In the past, there is a date by which season ticket holders have to renew to keep their current seats, after that date, unrenewed seating is availble on a first come basis. If you currently have seats and you want to move to a different area, you should let them know when you renew and after the date mentioned above, they will reassign you if the seats you want have not been renewed by the previous season ticket holder.

Does this mean Stallion has to join the Mustang Club?

I spoke to the ticket office yesterday also. I was told they are transitioning to a new system that should be up next week and that at that point you should be able to upgrade seats, move locations, pay, etc. Give them a call late next week.

I'm pretty sure that May 31 was the deadline last year to renew for current season ticketholders. After that date, they would then try to accomodate moving your seats.
I think the packets went out in late March last year to current season ticketholders. I hope it's more difficult to move this year, because that would mean our ticket sales are up, WAY up!
