The Sooners are playing TCU in Norman on Sept. 27 this year, the week after the Frogs come to play us. OU comes to Fort Worth in 2012, per FWST. Betcha the Sooners find a way to get out of that return game.

I assume this thread is purely intended to provoke OU fans so I will bite...not sure what you would consider an appropriate non-conference schedule. Pick up a marquee name, a BCS level opponent, a mid level major and a creampuff, annually, and then play a conference championship game at the end of the season. Look at OU's nonconference schedule over the last few years and in the next few.
OU's woodshed beatings in bowls are no fault of the scheduling; either the rest of the Big XII is too weak to adequately prepare them, or they have simply lost the ability to game plan unfamiliar schools. I'd suggest the former is the bigger influence...

BTW I've hesitated to post this for the fear of being called a purple lovin' Horned Frog but TCU has scheduled Ohio St. for next year in Columbus.

Ohio State has some amazing players returning, however the Big 10 is so weak...TCU could go 11-1 again (with a loss to the Pony Nation), that would make me happy. Because then our 12-0 with a win over an 11-1 TCU team would propel us into the National Championship. I love dreaming

theres no problem with OUs out of conference opponents. the havent played any FCS schools in the past 6 seasons, maybe even more. just look at all those marquee names, its not OUs fault that those teams were just on down years.
BAMA, UCLA, OREGON, MIAMI
Hate on OU all you want but they dont play those even weaker SEC/BIG10 OOC games

Nope, they really wont. The Sooners athletic administration are actually pretty cool people and their Athletic Director really likes TCU and Danny Morrison, our Athletic Director.
