A little reading comprehension would be nice - I said not to waste time on it until all coaches hired and recruiting done .... I did not say it was worthless. Just expect he would have better things to do on the 8th and 9th of Feb when signing day is the 6th and we will have some holes that could be filled after that date.
No ticket hater - they are fine, but they would be down the list of things to worry about on 2/9 in my view.

Ease up, dude! He's said that he is down to 3 choices for DC, which is the most important coaching position he has yet to fill. He has also said that he has been working 17-18 hours days recruiting. JJ is a pro, and this isn't his first rodeo. A couple hours on a Saturday a few days after national signing day is not going to take him off point.

I'm relatively sure that taking a couple of hours out of his schedule to go and meet with the fans of the areas most popular radio station isn't going to torpedo our already abysmal recruiting class.

The reason to skip this cluster is to make the recruiting class better. There won't be anyone there worth talking to for him anyway - waste of time. For 2 mil, 12 hour days in the middle of recruiting should be pretty much the standard.
And by the way - it is about 10-12 slots down the arbitron ratings so it is far from the areas favorite radio station. Its an amusing distraction, nothing more.
He can knock around with the ticketheads in Apri.

the fact is that just about all kids with their academics in order that aren't suffering from an injury commit on signing date PERIOD. 100% of the Top 100 and 100% of the DFW Top 100 and 100% of the Houston Top 100 will sign on signing date unless they have the above issues. The guys that don't have some sort of issues or they weren't offered. Its more a matter of sifting through players academic records, waiting for guys expressing an interest in transferring, getting a few leads on kids with improving academic issues and maybe hitting the spring track meets to find a few overlooked nuggets. He'll have plenty of time to do that

Any my point is skipping this is not going to improve the recruiting class one bit. It will take a few hours of his time, and I don't think I said anything about him working less than 12 hours. I don't care if he just works later that night than he would have. The point is its a chance at some local publicity and he should take it. My guess is PB was never offered a chance to go to Ticketstock and shill for the program. JJ has been and I'm glad he's doing it.
And sorry, I should have qualified, The Ticket is the Number 1 SPORTS station in Dallas.

Marketing 101 would be nice. JJ has to win over Dallas to put the fans in the seats, creating a better home atmosphere that will draw recruits. See he is working on recruiting.

You're foolish to think that people don't listen to the ticket. Granted, a lot of it is juvenile humor, there's a reason that it won a Marconi this year. I got news for you, people listen to the f'n station! Get over it!
