I don't make it a point troll other schools' message boards, but with the slow economy I've had some extra time on my hands and visited gomeangreen.com and killerfrogs.com today. All I can say is "wow"...
The first topic on each board is SMU related, and the funny thing is that neither string really talks about SMU FOOTBALL!!! It's about BMW's, $, trust funds and buying your way through life. I cannot wait for the day when these people are jealous of BOTH our lifestyle AND our football program.
But seriously, I have never seen such crap on a football related board. Leave that stuff for the E Channel, and let's talk about football! Those UNT'ers have a serious inferiority complex..geez.

just jealous.
I understand it coming from the north, but from the west?
I know a bunch of frogs, and they're not much different than you or I financially. they would have you think that they're humble by wearing boots and driving a truck, but they don't mention that their boots are custom ostrich from a bird they shot on safari and had the skins flown back and sent to leddy's to add custom purple uppers with a frog on one side and their initials on the other.
and for their pickups - an F-350 King Ranch edition with custom painted ranch hand bumpers and an auxiliary gas tank, headache rack, GPS, and spray-in liner runs upwards of $60,000. don't forget about the blood stains intentionally not washed off from the doe they shot in December at their $5000/yr lease
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

If they can convince themselves that wardrobe is a reason to believe they're better, their future is even dimmer over there than I thought.

right. that's what i was saying.
You type faster than I do! I am just a lowly communication major! maybe they just do that because it sucks to wear purple and they know it...
probably the ugliest color around, and what really sucks is I live with an ex-horned frog! But he has no allegience to the school so I have converted him easily! (weak willed toads!)
Sports, and all that implies.

I remember when I headed for SMU from up here in the great Commonweatlh of Virginia, I bought a cowboy hat, figuring I'd need it to fit in. I don't think I ever wore it except maybe to one costume party with a CW theme.

Obviously you took the JR look too seriously...like the rest of the world. TV is such a wasteland.

That's funny. Doesn't describe me. I was fortunate enough to have family means to attend SMU, but it was by no means a reflection of this "lifestyle" to which these TCU and UNT types ascribe. I'm a banker...hardly the vocational choice that makes one wealthy. My wife is a teacher. I have a special needs child. Yeah, his older brother is in private school (my mom is the Head of School), but to compensate, I drive my grandmother's old car b/c she is 93, lucid, a cheapskate, and, fortunately for me, believes she shouldn't be driving anymore.
My BMW days were largely the 90s (black 325i & land rover), and since then I tend to be prone to whatever has the least payment, best gas mileage, and allows me comfortable travel to Dallas 12-18 times a year counting SMU football games (and one day, basketball games) and Children's Hospital (on yeah, I forgot, I go with Mustang 1991 to the games, and he drives most of the time). So please tell me again about what TCU types think of SMU types? I obviously am not what they were thinking, but then again, I do have one thing on all of them...I went to SMU. They went to that other school in Ft. Worth. What they drive and where they hunt doesn't fix that flaw...they can kiss my [deleted] with that whole "lifestyle" thing. My sister is a Horney Toad, and she generally feels the same way about SMU. I think it's in their water.

They are border town dives... I tried logging into GMG after the SMU game this year... they banned my name. Couldn't even re register it. Ridiculous!
