Doak Walker Award
Isn't the Doak Walker Award winner announced today? What time, does anyone know? I think it's really cool for SMU to have ties to this prestigious award. I just wish we had more players who were capable of winning it! Oh well, here's to going 12-0 in 2004 (yes, the 12th game includes our bowl win)!

Re: Doak Walker Award
Well, we always have a nominee, if that helps. This year, of course, it was Kincade. Last year it was Kris Briggs before Kincade was added because of the ridiculous numbers he was putting up. It is kind of cool to be involved with it, but I can't wait until the other schools around the country have to watch as it's handed to one of our own.
With all that said, I don't know when it's handed out. If he could stay healthy, Bruce Perry at Maryland is the most exciting RB I've seen all year. But he's always hurt. So I guess it will go to the guy at Michigan?

Yeah, it was announced today, Chris Perry of Michigan won it. Runners up were Kevin Jones of Virginia Tech and Darren Sproles of Kansas State.

Re: Doak Walker Award
I wonder if that was voted on before or after Sproles ripped up the OU defense?
