I wanted to come here and talk about the move up TxSt is taking and maybe talk about the football game next September, but when I came here I was barraged with 2 pages of people talking crap about my school. A lot of them, very ignorant and just plain stupid postings.

If anybody wants to have a real conversation about either Tx St moving up or next years football game, I'm all ears and I can respond respectfully, as long as you do too.

So you guys went 1-11 last year, we went 4-7 against admittedly weaker competition. Have you guys vastly improved in any way since last season? I know JJ will be looking to crush us quick, probably with passing, but do you guys have a QB with a good arm that can do it? Our weakness last season was our secondary, which we have remedied this offseason by recruiting some very good DBs. A couple 2 star and one 3 star DBs that are out of San Antonio. We are looking for them to play next season because we really couldn't cover anything last season. We should be running a 4-2-5 defense when you guys see us next season.

Offensively, we have three really good running backs and an average QB. Our receivers are mostly ok, but we have one standout, Cameron Luke, who caught over 1000 yds last season. One of our freshman runningbacks rushed for over 1000 last year also. We've had a couple close calls over the past few years with almost beating Baylor (twice! in 04 and 07) and A&M. The fans and players are getting anxious for a good I-A win and you guys seem ripe for the picking if I may say so, coming off of an 1-11 season.

Our big question mark is defense...it was HORRIBLE last year.

I would say the biggest weakness on our D was our front seven, but our secondary was bad too...there really is nothing good to say about the way our defense played last year.
