An argument can be made that he did "ruin" the 2006 season when he punched Beard's brother. Would have beaten UTEP if he was in the game, and gone to a bowl at 7-5. Of course we might not have JJ if that was the case, so it all evens out.

Yes, everyone is right about Lance being freshman, only UT/SMU game I missed from 1966 onward...still angry I wasn't in Austin.

Yes but then you wouldn't have the best line in that catchy song of yours.

You have to remember that there were days that the Ponies were playing in Cotton Bowls and for National Championships.

As for Flanigan, he played on some teams that lost, its true, but Ramon made those teams go and we wre playing SWC opponents week in and week out.


Ramon Flanigan was good, but I would have to take Chuck Hixon over Ramon Flanigan any day of the week.
