I'd make the drive for that because they have the Minnesota women play down there as well. That would be awesome.
EDIT: The projected seeding is about what I thought. Fair.
EDIT II: UTEP is a projected No. 7 seed. That's good. The miners deserve to be there despite their poor sportsmanship on Sunday.

I don't by any means think that giving us #13 is fair looking at the fact that TCU is 20-10 and a #9. Texas is 19-11 and is a #9. We are 24-8 and get no respect. If I was Rhonda I would use this to my advantage and I would try to have these girls feeling so disrespected because they are getting nothing. Maybe we don't deserve it however I am pissed at the projections because we really are better than a good portion of the field. I really pray that these girls truly play up to their full potential and show the world that they are not to be JACKED with!!!!

Bigtime, I hear you. But the reality is because the league doesn't get respected, we get penalized by the seed. Now, the committee may do something different. This really means squat.
I think if we had won both regular season and tournament, we would be looked at differently. However, we had some ding dong losses in there that really hurt us. And you heard or read what Rhonda said. If we don't beat UTEP, we're going to the WNIT.
But isn't this a fun debate. WE'RE IN THE TOURNAMENT!!!

Just an OT: Someone posted that we were predicted to play WVU, but WVU fell in the Big East Semis vs. Louisville. Do you think that changes the mountaineers seed?

I don't think so. WVA's been pretty strong this year. They ran third in the Big East behind UConn and Rutgers, so they are probably in pretty good shape to keep that seed.

I like that. I can see us as a #12 because you really are in a position to do some upseting and special things. I like that seed. YOu are right it is nice to debate about being in the show.

An 11 seed is the best because then you play a 6 seed in the first round, a three seed in the second round and a 2 seed. If you're a 12 seed, you go five, four and then one and then two. I'd rather get the one seed in the regional finals. But in reality, I'll be happy wherever we're bracketed because even if we're a 16 seed, we're more likely to catch a one seed napping in the first round.

It has us playing West Virginia, with the winner getting the winner of Hartford/Vanderbilt.

It's the tournament so there are no pushover games. We will do fine because it's our time.
