That Gamso kid...I think Winston Gamso is a steal. The kid is a class act and has shown the ability to compile incredible stats for someone who got limited time to prove himself. As far as getting a chance because someone else was injured, isn't that the way so many great football players have shined. He compiled almost 3,000 yards in an abbreviated season with a completion rate of .643...that's phenomenal. Since major colleges start looking at prospects years in advance, Gamso had already passed by that period of scrutiny. With a little time and experience, I think you'll see Gamso contribute and achieve for the Ponies!
You just double posted -- why exactly? Especially after bumping

Because he likes Gamso apparently. Who gives a sh*t why he did. His one double post is a more interesting read than 20+ of your "original" posts.
Do you even know what the word original means? His double post was still original, [deleted]. It just didn't make much sense to double post it, especially now that we've hijacked it. Sir, shooting-star, sir.

I saw HP play a few times on TV and I thought he was pretty good. It's always good to see Dallas area kids choose SMU. Hell we should sign at least 2 or 3 Highland Park kids every year!
Back off Warchild seriously.
We shouldn't sign kids from anywhere just to sign them, unless the team is just that damn good.

It just so happens that this year, it makes sense to pick up 2 HP players, Gamso and OL Zach Boyd.
Once our team gets better and better, I agree that we should recruit and sign the best players. If those kids are from HP, awesome, if not then ok. That said, having Gamso and Boyd on our team should help us recruit future HP players, which can only be good. SMU Grad 1996 - Worked in SMU athletic recruiting office under Forrest Gregg and Bill Weidner from 1992-1997.
? So we sign 2 or 3 HP kids every year. That means Mom, Dad, Grandmother, Granddad and maybe 3 or 4 aunts and uncles attend SMU games. So each HP kid increases ticket sales by 7 or 8. At $300 per ticket, we make $2,400 per year and we are giving a $30,000 scholarship. Do you work for the government? Just send 'da money.
Well tickle my balls guys take it easy. Is Highland Park one of the best programs in the state? Yes. Do they usually produce 3 or 4 decent college prospects? Yes. Would it be advantageous for us to keep them as a natural pipeline for our program? Yes.
I'm not saying lets donate two scholarships a year to a HP senior. Damn. Back off Warchild seriously.
