Outside of Texas Tech, who do all of you think will be the 3 most talented teams that we play?

Here is my list:

1. TCU
2. UCF
3. USM

Tulsa could be more challenging than UCF simply because they lost that running back.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

Potential is nothing, performance is everything.

I was thinking about Tulsa, but I thought their QB graduated.

Tulsa does not have a QB problem with Bower and with Malzahn running the offense. UCF still has people that blocked for that RB. We were 1 above an ofer, and we are not playing the only team we beat. We will not have any easy games next year, but hopefully we can out score more than last year.

I really haven't analyzed their defense but Tulsa was loaded with top young WR talent at every position last year and now adds a Top Tennessee and Arkansas transfers at WR plus the JUCO All-American at QB(Bower). They sound loaded on offense. They were in the Top 5 in the Country in offense last year.

And yet we held them to 21 points with 43 seconds to go in the game and had a chance to win it......until....

"Tulsa's Charles Clay caught a 51-yard touchdown pass from Paul Smith with 43 seconds left to lift Tulsa past SMU 29-23 on Saturday afternoon.

Trailing 23-21, Tulsa (5-3, 3-2 Conference USA) stopped SMU (1-7, 0-4) on fourth-and-goal at the Tulsa 1 with 1:56 left. With one time-out left, the Golden Hurricane went 99 yards in nine plays to score the winning touchdown."

It is crazy when you think how far we need to come, yet we still were in so many games last year - UTEP 48-45 in (OT), Tulane 41-34 (OT), Tulsa 29-23, Rice 43-42 (last second FG), Memphis 55-52 (last second FG)

I agree with you. That's why I think anything less than 5-6 wins would be a big disappointment. You really weren't that far away last year.

Agreed. These coaches can convince these kids that they can win and we go 5-6. We had the talent but in the 4th quarter the kids were asking "how are we going to screw this up?"
