Thats good news. It will be an even bigger catch to get McCoy here having the UVA offer too.

Paul McCoy, if you are reading this, please read the following line:
SMU is UVA with better weather and better-looking women.

Let's be fair here. Yes, we have much better weather, and the percentage of hot women is much higher here. But UVA has some outrageously hot women, too. Lots of them.
"What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"

Yes. But how easy is that to see when they are all bundled up in the 19 degree weather?

HA - not that cold for most of the year. Charlottesville is a really nice place, and they have plenty of nice weather. It's not like the guy's considering Wisconsin vs. SMU or something.

I don't think Charlottesville VA is all that cold, is it? Colder than Dallas but it's no Dalhart

I know, I've been to Charlottesville...it's not that cold...but it is colder than Dallas and it's cold more frequently than Dallas is cold too.

But seriously, let's compare Dallas and C-Ville
C-Ville has The Corner, Dallas has Lower Greenville
C-Ville has the Downtown Mall, Dallas has...the West End...sort of...
C-Ville has Barracks Road Shopping Center, Dallas has Old Town
C-Ville has a mall that is anchored by something called Belk, Dallas has lots of malls with real stores
C-Ville has Thomas Jefferson (and James Monroe...and if you stretch it, Madison), Dallas has...um...Laura Miller?
C-Ville has beautiful natural surroundings, Dallas has a beautiful downtown skyline
conclusion: both are nice, but they are so different that it just depends on the personality of the person. Plus, if you are a recruit, do you want to go somewhere where you will get plenty of playing time, or somewhere where you will have to sit on the bench?

McCoy was selected first team all state. Interesting note in the Oregonian....
"McCoy, the first large-school athlete in Oregon to make the all-state first team in football and basketball in 10 years, helped lead Grant to its first state title in 20 years. Like Tinsley, McCoy received a release from his commitment to Pepperdine after Walberg quit and is undecided on a college."

According to a poster on the Oregonian HS forum McCoy visited Virginia last weekend, will visit Kentucky next weekend after playing in the Adidas Derby Festival and his last visit will be Arizona.
