I believe there was a past comment that June may like an all-white uniform, home and away. If so, I am backing off the white helmet, if we play pre-dominately in white. Here is Redskin white uniform. Make the helmut red and tirm the jersey and pants in red (some blue) and you have something distinctive and smart:

There were a few games in the Gregg/Rossley eras when the Ponies played (maybe on the road?) in white pants, white jerseys and white helmets. Absolutely fantastic look. If Coach Jones could pull that off ... GO FOR IT.

Its a violation of NCAA rules for a team to wear white at home unless both teams have agreed prior to the season. See p.31 of the attachment.

apparently that is because of an SEC rule agreeing (prior to the season) that the home team has the discretion to choose the color of the home team. They probably have it in writing with the sacrificial lambs that play non-conference home games that LSU gets to wear white.

If I remember the statement, Jones said he wanted all white "if he could work it out".

I confess I don't have time to study the rules on NCAA laundry policy ... because I have a life ... but I agree with Diehard - if we can do it, it would look sensational (with the blue mustang and blue or white facemask).

I still think an updated version of this would be cool.
