Do you remember the specific year? I didn't hear a year referenced. Obviously, Dr. Shields was there so that provides some time-frame.
Don't recall specifically. I was there '83-'88 as an undergrad, so in that period.
A search on www.imdb.com using 'Bob Hope' and 'Morgan Fairchild' in the searches shows that a program called "Stars Over Texas" was taped in 1982 but no reference to S.M.U. It says it was filmed at U.T. I was unable to find a program called 'Bob Hope Goes to College' on www.imdb.com.

In 1969, Hope, John Davidson, Janis Paige, and Michele Lee (wow!!), filmed a for TV play (Roberta) on Campus. The athletes were invited to attend the dress rehearsal and were treated to a very enjoyable evening, including learning that Michele Lee did not wear undergarments under her see through outfit. The following night we sat out on the Boulevard and watched the diamonds and gold enter the premier filming.

That was my first choice but then I realized that they both think 'Who' is on third, not first.

That clip on youtube is amazing. We got so much exposure off that thing. You couldn't pay for advertising like that now. How in the heck did we get Bob Hope to put his show on campus? He made our school look big time. I wish I attended SMU in the 1980's as opposed to the 1990's.
