That's OK.

We will welcome him with open arms when he gets homesick and tired of the cold. We will be playing in BCS bowl games when he is ready to transfer in 2 years.

How's that for a big dose of Vitamin D?
Just send 'da money.

He may commit to another school early, but he lives close enough that once he sees the new SMU offense he may change his commitment to SMU.

Hold on there, sir. I know you've only been on the site for a few months, so I can't begin to guess how long you've followed the team. Coach Jones might direct the most prolific offense on the planet — we'll see. But there will be a learning curve before Air JJ takes off, and the idea of a bunch of players changing from Michigan-like schools after watching us put up 38 points on Rice or Tulsa. Maybe we'll get one, maybe we won't.

Far more important to me is the fact that SMU was the first, or at least among the first, to go after Peace, and that speaks volumes about JJ's ability to identify talent.

I think its a good thought. Schools like TCU, UH and Tulsa have done a terrific job recruiting top recruits-when they miss out on one we need to let them know the doors open in the future if he gets splinters in his rear sitting on the bench at Michigan. The second time the home town team may look a lot better. Seems like UH gets almost as many top Greater Houston recruits the second time around when kids want to go home. Remember in a 5 year period there will be approximately 700 kids from the Metroplex get Division 1A scholarships. Now we might be able to pick off some more of these kids like Marquis Frazier from Garland.

Good point.

You stated that much better than I did Stallion.

Look at Peace's profile on Scout and click on his picture. One of the pictures has him at an SMU camp wearing a white shirt with "June Jones SMU" on the chest. Pretty good marketing.

Looks like SMU -the first to offer-had a real shot with Peace until his recruiting "blow'd up real good"
