I think USC is about the only other place I would've gone... Their CE program pretty much rocks

The InterFraternity Council strongly discourages doing anything to your pledges that you wouldn't want your MOM to see.

That's like saying we ran an option offense under Bennett... the QB had the option of attempting to carry out the play as designed, or to run for his life, or to just take the sack and move on.
I think this was called the 'triple option'.
GO PONIES!!!

Could just as easily apply to the Trojans! ESPN has been taking their shots at USC with Reggie Bush and O.J. Mayo as well, but the NCAA looks the other way because of $$$$. Start winning and generate $$$$ for the NCAA again and SMU will just laugh it off.
Actually, had we not started winning we would never have been punished. The winning triggered finger pointing by the "big 3" UT,UA, A&M and then the fun began. We got what we deserved, but winning is what drew attention to us. Difference with USC is that they developed the winning tradition prior to being accused of cheating. Now they are too big to punish.

Just curious did Dickerson, James et. al ever acknowledge receiving $$$ or other perks?
BTW Mayo and Bush are as clean as the driven smog!

I dunno, what about Alabama? They are comparable to USC in tradition, winning, and is in a conference that generates more money. But they got what seemed like the next closest thing to the Death Penalty (they helped with the NCAA investigators). They haven't recovered really, and other than that 10 win team from 2005, they've been a pretty average team; some may even call them mediocre. I think my point is...no school is too big and they can always be replaced by another team.

I grew up in LA and I recall when Dickerson was playing for the Rams he made a joking comment about taking a pay cut to play for the Rams.
