ND hires AD..........Since SMU fans were apart of the ND AD search I figured that some may be interested in who they hired.

Re: ND hires AD..........
well, they hired an Indianapolis attorney. At least we know that if Steve O ever does leave, SMU needs to look no further than to some of our own prominent posters on this board for its short list
The timing kind of lends a little credence to perhaps Orsini was told he was not going to be selected and he made his statement of loyalty to SMU. I am very happy he did, but I still think he would have gone had he been picked, and I would not have blamed him. Just glad he stayed regardless of the reason for doing so.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
It could also give credence to the idea that Orsini was the sole #1 choice for the Irish, and when he turned them down to stay at SMU (for a considerable raise), Notre Dame went straight to a contingency plan rather than re-opening their search.
Glad he's still here. I feel that as long as he performs as well as he has, and continues to improve our programs, this very well may be his last job.
Sir, shooting-star, sir.
Frosh 2005 (TEN YEARS AGO!?!) The original Heavy Metal.
Are you planning to off him?
so i was talking to someone i know who works for SMU and apparently Steve Orsini is not well liked by the whole athletic dept....in fact its about 50/50 with those who would have liked to see him go take the ND job...on that note he was never offered, it was believed that he would bolt if they had...also
"There ain't nothing you can't solve with one more beer"
Gee, then I wonder why Jones and Doherty were such strong supporters of Orsini with the powers-that-be? Could it be because the guy has a vision for the future and is positioning us for big things to come?
Also, do you think the new hire from UCF would be joining up if he had any doubts whatsoever about his former boss? Don't think so. Don't buy the sour grapes Irish b.s.
I am glad he is not loved by his empolyees and I am fine with Tyrant as long as he produces. This is not a popularity contest. We have a lot to achieve and not much time to get it done. You think Deloss cares which of his employees likes him?
I assume you've read The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli.
