Clarification
I would assume that the description above is incorrect.
I've only seen pictures of the exterior of Ford Stadium.
As I recall the exterior is covered entirely with brick. Therefore it would seem highly unlikely that the entire
inner structure of such a stadium would be composed
of aluminum bleachers.
hes actually right. its almost all bleachers. but it still blows me away that the entire project of Ford Stadium cost $42M (wikipedia) and the frogs wanna renovate their turd for 175+...
thats what happens when you pay people to draw you pictures and not build a damn thing

I've sat in your stadium. And you have aluminum bleachers like us, so drop the high and mighty business.
Face it, you're stadium is a dump and it would be best to honor the late Amon Carter with a NEW stadium the school can be proud of. These drawings are a mess.
What part of tearing down the old structure and building a new structure do you fail to comprehend? That is exactly what TCU is going to do.
Only seats below street level will remain (approx 16k) and it makes no sense to take them out since the structure of replacement is exactly the same in design. Everything on top of that will be new. Seats, suites, press box, concourses, etc. will all be brand new.
Got it?

As a non bias fan I think SMU should consider putting in real seats opposed to higschool aluminum bleachers before it can call another stadium an eye sore. Having those bleachers might be fitting considering the level of play displayed by this program the last 23 years. Just something to consider before bashing another school's stadium.
Go on back over to Killerfrogs, Feisty
I can assure you that isn't Feisty. BTW, ND remodeled their stadium a few years ago. Very nicely done.
Yep, and ND's stadium still has the same 3" wide rotting, splintered planks for bleachers

That is stupid logic.
That is what they are doing except for the below street level seats. Why tear them out and replace them again with the same thing as was torn out? Just so you can say everything is new. The replacement would be the exact same thing so what's the point. We would rather spend the costs on something else that made logical sense from any level of common sense.

And replace Daniel-Meyer while you're at it.

only keeping 16k seats? thats about a 1/3 of the stadium. that counts as a renovation to me. but once again, for $175M every fan should have their own cheerleader and pet frog in their seat.
