I could care less about UNT -- but this Horton kid didn't deserve this.

He finishes high school in New Orleans, signs with Auburn, redshirts...then learns his aunt and two brother *died* in Hurricane Katrina...plays in nine games his RS-Frosh year and struggles academically (how anyone copes with significant family losses while juggling D1 football and college education is beyond me). He then decides to enroll at Jackson State (D1A) and is somehow declared ineligible after playing at Auburn (D1)...makes zero sense. So he decides to play at Community College, doesn't enroll...Shows up at NW Miss CC, tore it up and became highly recruited -- seemingly on the right track. Commits to Ole Miss in 07. Coaching changes lead to a decommit, and he changes to UNT. Then he fails to finish his associates degree because of a problem with transfer hours...
Best of luck to the guy. That really, really sucks.
