Is the SMU rivals site dead? They actually "put together a transcript" of the video interviews from CUSA Media Day with Serge Elizee, DeMyron Martin and Coach Jones (in case you're too lazy to hit PLAY on whatever software you use that plays video clips) ... and then PUT A BYLILNE on it? And it's an "insider" story ... meaning you have to pay to read the text of a video that's available on for free on the CUSA site?

Then they have a huge two-paragraph "story" on Kyle Padron (ending with "More later.") The story refers to him as the second quarterback committing to SMU this year, even though everything else I've seen has him listed as a safety or maybe running back.

She's going to cover the Olympics for the Dallas Morning News, but I believe she'll be back covering SMU in the fall.

She is in China like you said, but I just got word that the DMN has rescturcted their beats for College Sports. There will no longer be beats for all the local Big 12 teams in texas along with SMU and UNT.

From what I gathered there will be two beats, College Sports and SMU. College sports will be Big 12 heavy and not sure who is covering it, then SMU is getting a new gal to cover their beat.

Hence why Brian Davis is now on the Boys beat and Chip Brown went to work for that UT website.

Hope that explanation makes sense. I wasn't told when the new lady will begin writing copy or when or if that announcemnt will be made.
