SMU Season Tickets for DFW Underprivileged Children

Postby MrMustang1965 » Thu Jul 24, 2008 12:32 pm

Just received this email from the SMU Athletic Office:

Dear Season Ticket Holder,

Thank you for your support of SMU Football! We have had a very busy spring and summer as Coach Jones has joined the staff. You will definitely notice a difference in attendance and spirit when you attend the games this fall.

In an effort to fill the stands and reach out to the DFW community, I am asking for your help. We have created a program where individuals or companies can purchase season tickets and donate them back to SMU. We will then distribute these tickets to underprivileged children in the DFW area. This program encourages students to stay in school and create the goal of attending college. We already have a waiting list of children’s groups who are eager to bring their children to the games this fall.

If you are interested in learning more about the programs we have in place, or if you would like to donate any tickets, I would love to meet with you in person or speak with you on the phone.

Thank you again for your support! Have a wonderful day and GO MUSTANGS!!

Mrydel, I don't think JT counts.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I had to go find Lauren to make sure I could. Back in in 2005, after every win, Kathy took a break during the week in favor of Lauren with the pledge that if SMU goes to a bowl, the change would be permanent. That tradition shall start up again.

It is only appropriate to replace an SMU oscar winner with an SMU golden globe nominee.

Lauren is indeed a fine replacement. When did she graduate from here?

Don't worry, General. She doesn't remember you, either.
