Darrin Johnson Switches to AggiesThe Aggie Websider is reporting tonight that Darrin Johnson has switched his verbal commitment to A&M. Darrin's stock had risen in recent weeks thanks to a terrific senior year for him there in Dallas.

Re: Darrin Johnson Switches to AggiesHate to see him go. Perhaps the new coach (scheduled to be hired by Dec 15th) can contact Darrin as well as the rest of our recruits to start the bond with them.
Latest list: McCollum-MTSU; Fisher (OC - LSU), Bobby Hauck- Washington, Minter- HC Cincinnati; Gill- Nebraska; Pearce-QB-UCLA, Dickey - North Texas. We went to SMU's practice on Wednesday, 11/21. Donnie was pulling at the bit to get out there. We went to the game and saw Rogers Healy in person! Page had a great game, but I think that Cunningham is the one that really stepped his game up.
Re: Darrin Johnson Switches to AggiesThat sucks. Johnson was potentially a real stud. He has the body to become a monster. Whenever the new coach is hired, his first call needs to be to Darrin Johnson.
Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!
Re: Darrin Johnson Switches to AggiesIt ain't over until the fat lady sings and the kid signs the dotted line. February is still a ways off. A really good hire for coach could change some minds again.
[This message has been edited by PK (edited 11-29-2001).] SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Darrin Johnson Switches to Aggiesyeah that also means that if a crap coach comes in you can lose alot more than just him.let's hope we hire the right man for the job.
