Not sure if this has been mentioned, sorry if it has.
I called the ticket office today to purchase individual game tickets for the TCU game. The guy told me he could take down my info but that they aren't actually taking credit card numbers until August 8. He told me that the online sales link and sales over the phone should be back in regular working order by the 8th. Just thought I'd pass along the info incase anyone else was having issues getting tickets.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.
Potential is nothing, performance is everything.

How to avoid customer service failures: NEVER say "we can't...". ALWAYS say "yeah, we can do that." Figure a way out.

They are in the process of changing ticketing systems, so that is the reason for the site being down and credit cards not yet being accepted. Calls and e-mails have been brisk according to Skyler in the office.

I really don't like to be a complainer, but if one were to pick the absolute worst time to change out ticketing systems, wouldn't it be the period leading up to the sport which sells the most tickets (or we'd hope it sells the most tickets)?

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe we just sold enough tickets to afford to buy that upgraded ticket machine we've had in the wish list on amazon.com.

And NEVER say "you need to." The customer doesn't NEED to do anything.

and "I'll be backs" won't be back if you're trying to sell them something. If he/she says "I have some money...and I'd like to buy a...." you'd better find something to sell them. Or get a deposit on a something.

It's not like the switch was started this week. The technical folks have been at work for quite some time getting the switch done ... lots of IT issues, apparently, as we're switching to TicketMaster.

On the plus side, the season tickets are nearing 7,000 already (which is approaching the season goal), and from what I've heard, the home side (west?) of the field is "nearly sold out between the 20-yard lines."
THAT is fantastic - now let's make sure those ticket holders get a big hat and lots of water, or whatever it takes, to get everyone IN their seats!

Nope...I don't think bingo will get anyone there but the blue hairs.

Odd. Bethany (my account rep) took my credit card # last Friday for 10 tickets (in addition to my 6 season tickets) for the TCU game. I already have my receipt.
