Season Openers

We have not won our season opener since the opening of Ford vs. Kansas in 2000, and we have gotten trounced in most (thank you Tech). Rice serves as a chance to reverse this ugly trend.

I concur. This would be a portentous time to break those streaks. I am hoping that our re-vamped defense will have all the energy to really take Rice out of their rhythm. I think that Clement & Co. could be very dangerous if we allow them to establish themselves.

We need or kids to believe they can chase Clement (pun intended) all over the field, and that we can disrupt Dillard's rhythm enough to put him off his stride. Then we need whoever the QB is (and the more I listen to JJ talk about accuracy, accuracy, accuracy, all over the field, the more I think it may not be JW) to have just enough time to get the ball to our receivers (who I think are ready for a HUGE season).

Ah yes - we hadn't had a "sweet christmas" reference from MM65 in a while. Season must be getting close!
