I just got the upgraded HD satellite receiver and dish from DirecTV, and will be glued to the tube on my sofa that night.

the game, but for the rest of you that could go and just

choose not to go, your Mustangs really need you there

cheering them on in person.

If you can make it from Dallas to Houston in 4 hours or less, you'll have set a new land speed record. And doing it on a Friday afternoon on I-45 will be even more impressive.

I've made it from Dallas to Houston in 4 hours...however, it was not in those traffic conditions.

Dallas to Houston is a VERY do-able trip in about 3.5 hours, without traffic. 244 miles from downtown Houston (which is not right at the onset of Houston from I-45) to campus at SMU.

Now during Friday traffic, no way he makes it in under 4 hours.

Oh, I have, too...but not on a Friday afternoon nor on a holiday weekend (Labor Day). Trust me, folks. The Texas Department of Public Safety troopers will be out in force on I-45 along with sheriff's deputies from Dallas County to Harris County. If you can leave before noon on Friday, Aug. 29th, do it.
