Just got our Rice tickets:

Postby Special_Delivery_Smu_Fans » Tue Aug 12, 2008 10:28 am

We just purchased our 4 tickets to the SMU/Rice game.
Purchased through the Rice ticket office and got 40 yard line seats. ($30 each)

Section 304 - Row 42 - Seats 59, 60, 61, 62
Rice Ticket Office: (713) 522-6957

Was told SMU ticket office is offering 10 yard line seats and that Rice makes the money whether the tickets are bought from SMU ticket office or the Rice ticket office. Tickets are same price on the 40 yard line or the ten yard line.

If anyone wants to join us call the Rice ticket office and ask for same row or near by.

BEAT RICE

what? you couldnt get a little gust from the gods to help show off that beautiful car flag? Nice work!
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

Looks like the Mrs. and I will be employing the 'jtstang'-method of seating for the Rice game.

Jtstang is the Man! And why not, there will be 30,000 seats to choose from no one is sitting in.

Me, too. I'm sure there will be plenty of room to "move around" on that side of the stadium. They're not sticklers like some stadiums with ticket nazis - Rice is pretty laid back.

Rice usually has around 15,000 in that giant stadium. This is their Operation Sellout game, and they have been getting much bigger crowds. Plus, they have sealed off the endzones. They are claiming, at least 30,000 will be there.

Alex: Not sure which seating chart you're looking at but the one that was sent in the mail with my tickets shows Sec. 304 is on the 25 yd. line.

Our tickets are in Sec. 303, Row 26, Seats 84 & 85. (Hey, RGV! Looks like we're sitting right next to you!!!) If I'm reading the chart correctly that looks like around the 15 yd. line.

Like I said...I'll be employing the 'jtstang method of seating' and moving over once I'm inside Rice Stadium.

Looks like. Hopefully we can all slide toward the middle of the stadium without much difficulty.

We are on the aisle, between 304 and 305. Mabey it's the 38 or 39 yard line, but the seating chart looks that way to me.

Hope you're right because I really don't intend to sit on the 10 yd. line for JJ's premiere!
