This is really terrible. The number of finger-pointing, self-righteous numpties on this board is bowel churning.
If you really want to ask for your money back on your season ticket, please go right ahead, and I hope they give it to you, take your name and NEVER let you buy a ticket again. We don't want people like that in the stands EVER, unless they are in the visitors section, in which case such idiocy is expected.
If you want to support the team, it is time to get behind Bo and Braden. If not, go take your ball, and go home. Please stay there.

Let's face it, all this means is that we will just have to have a few extra drinks on the Vard before the game. Then perhaps we will not know if it is Willis, Wallace, Mitchell or Michelle at QB.
Then we can change our slogan form Pony Up to Bottoms Up.

So what's your prediction now Stallion? I know the entire starting lineup isn't set yet...btw, didn't JJ say he'd only name his top 2 today and pick a starter shortly before the Rice game?
BTW, I don't think June Jones is the kind of guy to start his freshman qb just to groom him for the next couple of years - he's a win now kind of guy which gives me a lot of comfort. Otherwise I would have slit my wrists this morning...

Congratulations! Would you do the same if it was JW? Or have his skins on the wall (in 2 seasons: 7 wins, 3 suspensions, 0 Conference Championships, 0 Bowl berths) earned him a pass?
Never boo the kid. Ever.

Lol. If you came to SMU for the football, you obviously faked your SAT score.

Its only natural that losing football over 20 years creates a tender fan base, and the depth of some of your knowledge in regards to building a program is beyond laughable.
The losing has annoyed me more than anyone can imagine. I endured four years of hearing about this joke from one of your better players in recent history on a daily basis, and I'll defer to his perspective when it comes to how any head coach makes a decision based on starters, etc.
Simply, a coach that has succeeded to the point of making well over a million dollars a year and spends more time with these young people than their parents, girlfriends, and siblings combined should and will have all authority, and rightfully, have the balls to hear the criticism if it doesnt work as planned.
Just got off the phone with the aforementioned player and he shared a great analogy for this current situation.
Bennett was like an owner of a hamburger joint. Willis became really good at taking the orders and turning it into his own turdburger, but since he was never managed or groomed to possibly one day manage the place, this turdburger took a life of its own. He was able to slap enough hidden sauces and oversized bread to make the burger seem much bigger and better than it really was, and the seven regulars really believed they were getting great value on such a big burger. The dept of Health walked in and shut Bennett's restaurant down (far later than it should have; still not sure how he got approved in the first place) and by some grace of something bigger than any of us, June Jones decided he would take Bennett's shell space, gut it, tweak all ingredients, but most importantly, rid the restaurant of the turdburger. Not the cook, just the food he prepared.
So with another menu in place, the cook was given an option to learn to make the best grilled chicken sandwich in town or take his knowledge of preparing a turd to the Ho Made Burgers at Fitzhugh and Swiss.
For all the knowledgable fans claiming Jones is making such a mistake by grooming two young cooks with an obvious interest in providing the best chicken sandwich, and therefore relegating turd cooks to third team, well, go hungry or enjoy the digestion of the turd.
For those that would like to let Jones run his own joint that has been a success at every location, we've gotten pretty crowded quickly, so take a buzzer and it will light up when your table is ready.
I'm not sure how good of food Bo Levi or Braden prepare, but its appetizing knowing they never witnessed a turdburger served.
As for Justin, whenever he's ready to get on board, I'll try his food. Until then, I'll let the new owner staff the cooks.
I'd be making a huge mistake if I didnt try to make clear one simple point...the age of the cooks have nothing to do with how good the food tastes. Its June's building, menu, he orders ingredients, and he staffs.
If you're struggling to conceptualize this very legit analogy, next time you're in McDonalds, take a look at the cook and ponder whether he's the fuel behind McDonalds success, or if the ingredients, management, and history have anything to do with it.

While most here are looking at Rice, TX State or Tulsa in the next few weeks, JJ is no doubt looking to
2009-10
Texas Tech
TCU
Missouri
2011-12
A&M
Baylor
TCU
win some of the games and people will start taking notice.
Go RED! Go BLUE! Go MUSTANGS! S-M-U!!

So now we have BM fighting with BS for the starting QB job. Either way, we are likely to be pretty crappy at that position.
