NCAA rules say home team picks the uniforms.

I did some research and the NCAA rules say that the visitors wear white, but if the visiting team gives its OK for the home team to wear white instead, its all good.

From article 3a of the NCAA 2008 Football Rules and Intrepretations:
ARTICLE 3. a. Players of opposing teams shall wear jerseys of contrasting
colors, and the visiting team shall wear white jerseys. White jerseys may
be worn by the home team when the teams have agreed before the season.

a "white out" for a team whose fans have almost universally applauded the long awaited return to Blue Uniforms against a Division 1AA school is really a sophmorically stupid idea. As usual I will be wearing BLUE!

Coach Jones apparel

Postby ProudMama » Sat Aug 23, 2008 7:08 pm

Please allow me to express my opinion with respect to all.

Coach Jones understands and embraces the Polynesian culture. Part of that culture is the exchange of many items, one of them being leis. I fully intend to present Coach Jones with a lei prior to every game that I attend because it has deep meaning of respect and gratitude. It has nothing to do whatsoever with UH or his prior ties to UH. It is simply a token of thanks from our family.

As more Polynesian players are recruited it will be wonderful to see everyone have the opportunity to learn what a kind, loving and gentle people they are. When Capitan Cook first visited Tonga in 1773 he named it The Friendly Islands because of the warm reception he received.

Hopefully this will help everyone a bit.

I think its a nice gesture Mrs. H. And who among us does not love a luau or a leis for that matter. (TWSS) No reason why we can't have a little fun with it. Everything in life does not have to be starched with a polo pony on it. Let's have a little fun for goodness sake.

Mr. H and I have already discussed having an authentic luau for the Pony Fans. We might even be able to get Evan to do some Polynesian dancing

I dont care what sort of dancing Evan does as long is it is over the prostrate bodies of the opposing team!

But seriously, it is great to have a culturally diverse team, and I hope someday to experience the Polynesian culture for myself.

JJ can where whatever the heck he wants... and if Adidas wants him to wear a unique Hawaiian shirt for two games, I don't care.

All that matters is that he's our coach.

.... and I am not on board with the "white out". Any time a team attempts this it looks like a cult has invaded the stadium/arena.

Well we might as well strike up a deal with Classic BMW and have them drive JJ through the tunnel and deliver him to the sideline in an M6.
