Let's just get a guy with a '67 Shelby fastback to race down the field in second gear after td's.
That would look pretty cool on a white helmet too.

I can get behind that if he will do donuts at midfield.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Or put Lee Iacoca in a stall at the end of the field, and let people feed and pet him.

He'd still run faster than that girl from a couple of years ago.

I would be happier with him giving out donuts on the Blvd.

Just let the kids go pet the pony and feed it a carrot.
What you are actually seeing is Peruna taking it easy on the handlers. It is hard enough to keep up with our current Peruna, there is no way that a human could "run" with a full size horse, it would look even more like they are walking/dragging him across the field.

This is just another example of the sad schitty state of SMU traditions. 20 years of losing has destroyed what life there is in the fan base. 50% of the ticket buying public at Ford don’t cheer, either because they won’t or because they are such mindless followers they are afraid to stand out. Most of the other 50% don’t know when to cheer or what.
We can’t generate any kind of noise at kickoff. We can’t generate any kind of noise on third down. Nobody knows any of the cheers; nobody knows the words to the fight song; nobody knows the words to Varsity.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

How odd. I was going to suggest we do the very same thing for jtstang.

Why would you move Mrydel's seats?

Not a bad idea at least for short periods. I need a place to put him while I clean the poop from my extra seat. Plus all the kids petting him have the people behind me screaming "down in front".

Peruna is tradition but IMHO should not be used on the field.
Walk him around the Boulevard and then build him a place of honor in the south endzone for further exposure to fans.

I bought one of those little poop bags for this year like the carriage horses use so there's no need for me to move now.

Peruna running down the field is a tradition. Putting jtstang in a petting zoo would be a new tradition with only limited potential.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
