most students at rice and smu have never had a real job so i'm not sure how there could be wealthier students at either school?

which school has students who get better allowance? is that what you mean?

So if you could just write me my check for ten percent of a half a million... five grand... I'll go out and mingle.
Let me explain something to you. I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me.

Ten percent of a half million is 50 grand bud. Maybe you're less wealthy than you thought.

This students family does not abound in material wealth which, I'm sure, would be nice. More importantly we are blessed with spiritual wealth and the gift of family and friends. This past year we have also been blessed with, and are living, a life that many parents wish for but never have the opportunity to experience. So, although my kid doesn't have a hefty allowance, he has a pocket FULL of dreams and the chance to make them reality. That is priceless.

Our humble thanks to those that have made this opportunity available.

Your son is very lucky to have such a solid foundation at home. You sound like you have an amazing family.

I was actually trying to think of something funny to say about this like "who cares" or something about how foolish this thread is but after getting to read your comment, I understood the reason it was wrecklessly posted. Thanks ProudMama, you are an inspiration!!
