No Sunshiners Please!!!!!

Postby Duke Blue Blood » Sat Aug 30, 2008 1:28 pm

There really is no place for it. College Football is a business, like it or not. We should have declared BK a long time ago. I know I keep throwing good money after bad.

We got throttled by RICE. Not Florida or Texas, RICE!!!!

All this," man they are working hard", is the same as giving out participation trophies.

Looks like another complete rebuild!!!

What does declaring Burger King have to do with anything?

Yes; and that is why so many FR are figuring prominently in the 2-deep. It will be that way for the next 2-3 years and SMU will not be competitive with those who play "big boy" football until Jones gets "his guys" in here to run "his system". He has a 5 yr contract; let's just hope that by the end of that period Jones is happy with what he has built and that the Circle of Champions is also pleased enough to "pony up" to keep him around a little longer.

This is going to be a very long season because you are asking way too much of a FRESHMAN QB… put up 35+ points each week just be competitive, because your D looks like they will be giving up 30 to 45 points per game.

Rice put 56 on us…could have easily been more.

The weakness of this team once again is our crummy Defense. They are too slow and too small. Couldn’t help but think of all the ridiculous banter that goes on this board when we recruit these players, Stallion complains because they have no other quality offers, most others blast him and salivate over Coaches’ next Diamond-in-the-Rough find.

Look at this team, its weakest links, and look at the quality offers those specific kids received. That is why my expectations for this season are pretty low…I simply want to see improvement from BLM as the season progresses.

On a bright note, looks like Jessie Henderson has a chance to break some total return yard records.

On the downside, he gets way too many chances.
